On Monday, 18 July 2022, BritCham Shanghai and its Financial Services Committee successfully hosted the first CFO Dialogue roundtable discussion on Green Finance.
This session is part of a series of roundtables for CFOs from BritCham members and guest companies to share their experiences and best practices on key themes and trends for businesses in the market.
We thank our guest speaker Hon Lo, Head of Banking and Capital Markets at the UK Department for International Trade (DIT) and Maria McDermott, Vice Chair of BritCham Financial Services Committee and China Representative at Jersey Finance, for bringing us this insightful and timely session.
Hon from DIT shared the latest update on Green Finance of the UK and China’s government and private sectors.
Maria from Jersey Finance introduced an overview of the Green Finance CFO survey results, a survey that aims to understand better how CFOs and their organisation use Green Finance and the driving factors behind those decisions.
During the roundtable discussion, our participants talked about their main focuses on Green Finance domestically and globally. They also shared their thoughts and experiences on ESG reporting.
