This event is part of the Chamber’s Global Visionary series, dedicated to fostering robust business connections, providing invaluable global business insights, and facilitating meaningful interactions among Chamber members and distinguished visiting global senior management and VIPs.
China’s re-engagement post-covid, a new Labour government, and the return of Donald Trump will significantly shape UK-China relations. These developments dominate headlines, but other factors—such as a resurgent right in UK politics and the expanding influence of Chinese business and communities in Britain—may play an even bigger role.
Our speaker, who returned to London in 2024 after 15 years in Shanghai, has spent the past 10 months connecting deeply with the China watching community and involved himself directly in UK politics. He will share key observations and lead a discussion on what these shifts mean for the British community in China.
