To help members better understand China’s economic outlook and the potential impact on businesses, BritCham Shanghai is delighted to invite Standard Chartered Bank‘s Senior China Economist and a panel of business savvy to this session.
As we step into 2024, the dynamics of China’s economic landscape are undergoing shifts that demand our attention. Forecasts by several international organisations and institutions indicate a moderation in China’s GDP growth between 4.5% and 4.8% in 2024.
What signal has the latest China Central Economic Work Conference (held in December 2023) sent and what impacts will be brought to foreign and general businesses? Are we expecting more policy easing to sustain a recovery?
On the afternoon of 1 February, BritCham Shanghai invites Standard Chartered Bank‘s Senior China Economist, Wei LI to share with members a keynote on China Economic Outlook. Following Mr Li’s sharing, Don Weinland, China Business and Finance Editor at The Economist will moderate a panel discussion inviting industry leaders to share their prospects for the China market.
This is an in-person event and is FREE for members.
This event will be under Chatham House rules and will NOT be recorded.
Please submit your questions to the speakers upon registration.
More panellists will be announced soon.
